Leadership Martial Arts began out of a desire to offer families and individuals in the St. Croix Valley an option to learn martial arts in a safe, supportive, family focused academy that offers the highest standard in martial arts instruction.
With supportive character development at the center of our teaching, we are passionate about using the martial arts to not only strengthen bodies, but to strengthen minds too. For us, the martial arts serves as an avenue unlike any other to develop:

What Makes us Different?
We are focused on character development and real transformation. Most of the students that have come to our academy have identified goals related to character development (self-confidence, self-control, focus, respect, etc). Teaching character through the martial arts requires time and instructors who have built a relationship with their students. At Leadership Martial Arts, our instructors prioritize relationships and connection with both the student and the family. A strong relationship allows for the most conducive environment to collaborate with parents in achieving the character goals set forth by the student and family.

Experience // History
Leadership Martial Arts is the 6th Academy begun by Master Greg Garves. Master Garves has held true to his values and principles of quality martial arts instruction provided in a safe, supportive and family friendly environment. With the progression of students through the ranks, at times an instructor will desire to grow up into a school owner. In honor of this process, Master Garves has transitioned ownership of the previous schools. In addition, 2 of his students went on to start brand new academies. Over the past 30+ years, Master Garves has taught in academies, clubs, public and private schools, day-cares as well as in specialty seminars. He empowers his students to pursue assistantships or instructor status should they desire. Master Garves provides high level classes to his instructors to continue their learning and passion for the martial arts. Even the most highly trained never cease being a student.
